YouTube Movies Robin Hood Trailer

Recreated and remade over ages, Robin Hood is one tale that is no stranger to the silver screen. The latest remake, starring Russell Crowe and Cate Blanchett was released in 2010 by Universal Studios. The movie remains true to the original plot but dazzles with its art, visual effect and design. The makeup, costumes and the elaborate battle sequences have been given the treatment of state of the art technology and complete competency in matters of real life looks. As such, the movie has a great star cast and is capably directed by the legendary Ridley Scott.
The plot of the story begins with the death of King Richard in battle alongside who fight Robin Longstride (Russell Crowe), Little John (Kevin Durand), Alan-A-Dale (Allan Doyle) and Will Scarlett (Scott Grimes). They return to England to find a battle ravaged land filled with marauders, looters and criminals of every kind. They meet the dying Robert of Locksley, who after telling Robin about the nefarious Godfrey, and his sword which must be returned to his father in Nottingham. Robin assumes the identity of Robert and goes to Nottingham where he finds the wife of Robert, by the name of Mariam( Cate Blanchett) and the threat of losing away all the lands to the treacherous Godfrey(Mark Strong) who has now entered the government service and is looting lands with illegitimate taxes and unfair means of inculcating loyalty. The rest of the story is about the battle that Robin undertakes to honor his promise and to protect his loved ones from the politics, the war and the treachery.
The lead cast plays their roles very competently as Robin Hood and Mariam. They are supported by actors such as Max Von Snydow, William Hurt, Eilleen Atkins and Matthew Macfadyen. The direction is the hands of Ridley Scott and has been produced by Brian Grazer, Russell Crowe and Ridley Scott. The movie however, did not manage to make quite the phenomenon at the box office. As such, many reasons are responsible for this, but overall the movie manages to competently and very realistically capture the dread, loot and wave of horror that was prevalent in England at the time of the tale. The makeup, costumes, designing, art designing, props and all other aspects make for very gritty and extremely compelling battle and drama scenes. The music has been provided by Marc Sreitenfeld and the sound effects and art direction was done by Christopher Assels and David Allay respectively.
