Hot Tub Time Machine is an adult comedy film and is undoubtedly a Hot Tub Time Machine. The makers of this movie have to be given a credit for making such an entertaining flick with great potential by adding the sense of humor factor to it making it go beyond the title. Steve Pink is the writer and director of the movie who has to be appreciated for his great work.
Coming to the story, the Hot tub Time Machine is about four men who are the losers, lead a very unhappy life. One day, these four guys after a heavy night party, go for a hot tub at a ski resort but unexpectedly they find themselves back in their 1980s in their teenage. They try all the ways to escape but end up making a mess of their past life which can change their future. This movie has a lot of jokes and gags played on the time difference such as the awful clothes and hair styles of the people of that period in addition to the sound track. The comedy part in this movie is funny to some extent. But unfortunately most of the jokes and gags are not actually relevant to the plot and are a bit vulgar and not so funny.
The movie is almost a kind of funny mess and great work chemistry can be seen among the four characters. Their performance is truly spectacular and keeps the story entertaining. The lead actors of this movie are Clark Duke, John Cusack, Rob Corddry and Craig Robinson and also the film starred Kellee Stewart, Lizzy Caplan and others. Clark Duke played the character Jacob, Rob Corddry as Lou, John Cusack as Adam, and Craig Robinson as Nick. Adam is the character who has never achieved anything in his life and in addition to that, he has been just dumped by his girl friend. Nick, played by Craig Robinson, is a hen pecked man who has a dream of making his career in music but he never accomplished it. Lou, a character is a suicidal alcoholic and Jacob, played by Clark Duke is a nephew of Adam, who is always occupied with Adam’s video game. Even the veteran actors Crispin Glover and Chevy Chase did good justice to their characters involving many humorous gags making you sit back and laugh for a while.
