A Nightmare on the Elm Street was directed by Slasher film and written by Wes Craven. The movie star John Saxon, Ronee Blakley, Heather Langenkamp, Amanda Wyss, Nick corri, Johnny Depp and Robert Englund, the movie was made in the year 1984. The movie is the entirely the work of fiction including the town mentioned that is Mid-western town of Springwood. The movie has the plot in a way that, if these characters fall asleep, they would be killed by Freud Kreuger by visiting in their dreams and finally they actually die in reality. They were unable to figure out the cause of the weird phenomenon, but their parents did know the truths behind these strange cases. Horror films are very interesting if the audience is kept in the case of ‘keep guessing’. The film relieved a commendable response, in the first week itself. The producer got back the amount he invested in the first week itself. The film got critical acclaim, and created a new page in the history of horror cinema.
Though the movie was made on a low budget scale, it was totally worth the amount of money it earned. The film is known for the combination of reality and imagination, the movie was carried throughout so well that people hardly paid attention to draw the line between reality and imagination. The movie starts with the youngest character Tina, who dreams of being stalked in a dark room, with a strange glove with spooks rising from the edges of the glove. The wakes up frightened and screaming, and later discover the same marks on her night gown, same thing happens with Nancy the next day. But Nancy doesn’t much attention and instead convinces herself saying everything is fine. The next day Rod, Tina’s boyfriend sleeps and Tina again has the nightmare this time being mercilessly murdered. As Rod was the only man in the room is considered guilty. Tina and Rod are killed, but later on Nancy tries and wake up every time she has the dream. Finally Nancy is the one, who by her witty detections and tries finds out of the killer. She takes Kreuger out of the dreams and calls hands him over to the police. Nancy turns him down by showing he is no longer afraid, the next day all the characters are alive and well. The movie is fabulous if seen and the acting of the characters has added a star mark to the film. [endtext]
